Priorities for CRBS in 2011:
- Organizing a meeting for the interim executive board to "get to know each other", and refine priorities;
- Developing bylaws required for registry under the Alberta Societies Act (the existing Sturgeon River Plains Bison Steward guidelines will be a useful model here;
- Working to potentially broaden the general membership of the CRBS to include more stakeholder groups and people interested in bison restoration;
- Consulting directly with stakeholders concerned with bison restoration to understand their issues, and work to mutually acceptable solutions;
- Working with Parks Canada to develop a partnership that restores bison in both an ecologically and socially acceptable basis.
